Porter is the sweetest. He took about a day to warm up completely and then he was my best friend. He was so content to cuddle on the couch and nap all afternoon. And when he needed to go potty he knew to go sit on a rug and wait patiently to get his little coat put on. He got a little scared if you moved too fast or touched his paws, but he knew "good boy" and repeating that in a calm voice made him feel more comfortable. He whined a little when he had to sleep in his crate, but was silent and asleep within 10 minutes and hardly made a peep. And he loves treats and will sit pretty or gladly go in his crate for one.. especially if it was in a kong toy. He loves squeaky toys, but is working on sharing them. First day he wouldn't let me within three feet, and by the last day (if I moved my hand slowly) he would let me touch it when it was in his mouth and gently grab it. He does really well in the car. He either sleeps in the passenger seat or sits nicely in your lap and doesn't move. Just don't leave the window open more than two inches or he tries to jump out! He's the biggest cuddle bug and he loves to follow you around or take naps all day. He was great and just needs someone who is patient and willing to work on his little issues.
