Yellow Labrador Retriever / Yellow Labrador Retriever (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Senior : : Large
Foster Feedback: 12/23/15 Ollis is doing great! He LOVES people and attention! In the past few weeks he has become quite the cuddle bug. His favorite thing to do is be with his foster mom, if shes watching TV he sleeps on her lap, if shes making dinner he lays on the kitchen floor, if she goes to bed he goes and cuddles up right along side of her, you get the idea. He also LOVES to play with his foster brothers. He is currently living with three other large dogs and a cat. People: Ollis loves everyone who will pet him. He has grown attached to his foster family and has gotten to be a "Momma's" boy. He would love a family of his own to love and cuddle with. He has not been around kids since being in foster care but would do best with older respectful kids as sometimes Ollis can get a little moody when you wake him up from a nap. Animals: Ollis loves to play with the three other dogs in the house, the range in age ( 1 year old, 6 year old, and a 9 year old.) He will play tug with a rope for hours with them. He loves his chew toys and will growl if other dogs try to take them away. It seems to be a playful growl as there have been no "arguments" between any of the dogs. He is not a fast eater and if one of the other dogs goes to take his food Ollis will let them, so if there are other dogs around it is important to watch him and let him know it's OK to eat. Ollis still has absolutely no interest in the cat. Kenneling: Ollis still has not needed to be kenneled while in his foster home. He sleeps next to his foster mom in bed or on the couch at night, and is perfectly content during the day while the foster family is at work. He is not destructive at all (except for his chew toys.) He rides well in the car with out a kennel, he usually just lays down on the floor or sits up in a seat. Training: Ollis is fully house trained, not even one accident in the house!! He always lets his foster family know when he needs to go outside. His foster mom says she still has not found a bad thing about him yet!! Even his begging for people food while his foster family eats has gotten better, now he just lays on the kitchen floor waiting for them to get done eating. Ollis is such a great dog! He can't wait to find his "furever" home! 12/5/15 Ollis is such an amazing dog! He is very well mannered, does great with all sizes of dogs and shows no interest in cats. He just wants someone to love him and give him belly rubs all day long. The only bad habit he seems to have is when you eat he likes to stare at you in hopes you will drop something for him. :-) People: Ollis has been friendly with everyone he has met so far! He has really taken a liking to his foster mom, he always is at her side. He follows her from room to room, sleeps at her side every night and even sits/lays on her lap while she watches TV. He tends to "worry" if he can't see his foster mom, but can hear her. While she is at work he does not show any signs of anxiety, it seems to be only if he knows she is there but he cant see her. He just wants everyone he meets to pet him. He loves belly rubs! Animals: He has done great with all sizes of dogs he has met so far. He is living with two other dogs and enjoys spending time playing with them. He also shows very little interest in the house cat. He shows no aggression with food or toys towards any animal or human. Kenneling: Since he has been in his foster home he has not been kenneled. He is very content with just following his foster family around the house and he spends most of the time napping when they are at work. Training: Ollis is a very well mannered dog! He pulls a little bit when on the leash, but otherwise is a great walker. He knows basic commands such as "Come," "No," "Sit," "Up," "Down," "Lay Down." He is a very smart boy and probably knows more commands that we have not discovered yet! Ollis will be the PERFECT dog for any family!! 11/25/15 Ollis is is doing great here with DITR! He is a quiet, reserved boy, at least so far. He has some mild anxiety but it is getting better the more he gets to know his foster family. He loves attention!! He loves to play with his chew toys, but he loves being pet even more! So far the only thing he hasn't liked is getting his nails trimmed. He is a very sweet boy and is a wonderful dog to have in our home. He will make a WONDERFUL dog for any family!
