Foster Home Feedback:
8/23/15
Gracie is a sweet dog and I have enjoyed fostering her. She is still shy and fearful particularly of new things, new people and men. She does not have much experience with kids. She is a smart girl and has learned "sit," "down" and she "comes here" and touches the back of my hand. She takes treats nicely. She is a strong chewer and likes nylabones and her Kong toy.
She still has some separation anxiety and has some accidents in the house. She will need a patient owner who is willing to work with her. She attaches herself to one person but has nipped when there are others in the household although she has never nipped at me. She can be protective of toys and food around other dogs. Gracie has made many improvements since she first came and with patience and more training she can bring even more loyalty and love to her furever home.

Gracie is an active dog who enjoys playing with her foster brother. She is making great strides in her potty training and separation anxiety. She does great in her kennel. Gracie is very shy around new people but warms up fast to her caregiver. She is a very lovable girl and will make a nice dog for her "furever" family.

Gracie very eager to please. She knows how to sit and does not bark much except in a kennel for a little bit! She loves to cuddle. She is very shy and takes a while to warm up. She gets really scared with fast movements, so she needs to be handled slowly. Gracie would do better with older considerate kids. She wants to please really bad.. she's just scared. She is easily corrected, and would do great in a home that would want to do agility with her.

Gracie loves playing with her ball and running around. She is still skittish around strangers but she is making great strides! I think once I am out of the picture she would be fine with her new owners. She is less fearful outside but like most dogs, barks at people who come into our yard. Gracie weighs about 20 lbs and is the perfect size lap dog! She is quiet while riding in the car. I am trying to train her to ring a bell when she has to go potty outside. She continues to have some separation anxiety when left alone but is also making improvements with that. Gracie likes to snuggle some, give kisses, and would love her forever home!

We have been working on some basics with Gracie. She comes to my hand and touches it ,sits, knows what "treat" means and knows what "come here" means. She is not always perfect but she is learning. Gracie is nervous/scared around new people. She will let most of them pet her and takes treats from them. She was not scared with me when she came. She has not been around children and has limited experience with other dogs. Gracie has some separation anxiety and does not like to be alone. She is kenneled at night and when I am gone. She has had one accident when left home alone in the kennel but can hold it at night. She is pretty good in the kennel at night. She loves to play and likes attention. A tennis ball is her favorite toy right now. She likes to watch people out the window and does not bark or seem afraid of them then. She has been a little skittish outside but is more relaxed now than she was. She seems quite happy in the house and wags her tail a lot. She likes to snuggle on the couch and give kisses. She is a very nice girl and will make a wonderful addition to someone's family!
