Foster Home Feedback:

10/6/14

Hi! Tess here. My foster parents have been a little busy this week to send an update on how I am doing, so I thought I'd let you know. Although I was a bit skittish and out of sorts when I arrived, I settled in nicely this week. I mean, who wouldn't be a little out of it when recovering from surgery? I have been resting a lot this week and I like to fall asleep snuggling on the couch. I have also enjoyed hanging out in the backyard with everyone while they stay busy with fall chores. I really like it here with their kids and that other big dog. We all get along great!

I get so excited when my foster parents come home and when they let me out of the crate. Sometimes when they leave the room for like five minutes, I even get excited to see them again! My foster parents are so proud that I have had no potty accidents (I usually just go to the door if I have to do my business). They also like that I know how to sit and lay down and that I never fuss when it is time to go in my crate. The more I get to know them, the more snuggly I get with them!

I know I will be a good dog for a family or someone needing a special companion. Please consider making me yours!

Tess has been with us for two days and is recovering from surgery. She is still working on getting comfortable with us and each day there has been progress. She isn't a super busy dog but does seem anxious at times and we haven't pinpointed what triggers it but she will whine some and be a little skittish for seemingly no reason. Other times, she is perfectly relaxed snuggling on the couch with us and being held. I believe as she settles in she will become more relaxed.

Tess is doing well with everyone she meets and gets along great with my 9 and 10 year old kids and our larger dog. She does great in the house and has had no accidents. She does fantastic in her crate at night, no whining at all. Tess would prefer doggy companions that also like their space. She is nervous when dogs approach her too quickly, but is fine given a little space and time to adjust :)

Our family enjoys her company and we are excited for her to find her forever home!
