Gumby is adjusting nicely to his new surroundings.  He is starting to gain trust in
his people and is allowing more petting and snuggling.  He is going to need time and
patience in his forever home to be able to trust you and feel comfortable but I
promise you, he will be so worth it!!  He is such an easy going dog!  His
personality is starting to come out and he actually is starting to hop around and
have a “happiness” about him.  This practically brings me to tears as I can tell
he didn’t have the best of life in his previous home.  Don’t let his age
discourage you.  He is very healthy (minus some teeth) and has a lot spunk left.  He
joyfully barks when I come home and wags his tiny little tail.  He walks really well
on a leash and really enjoys walks outdoors.  He has been good around all people, he
will just need slow introductions to know you are ok to trust.  He truly deserves a
loving, kind and patient fur-ever home to live out the rest of his years.  I know he
will provide you with unconditional love and trust once you give him the chance he
deserves!!

I have been fostering Gumby for two days now.  He is such a sweet little guy. Pretty shy right now considering the changes he has been through in the last few days. He has wonderful manners and listens so well.  He kennels great and sleeps in it all night with no problems or accidents.  He is fully house trained.  I have two resident dogs and they all get along just fine.  I have not had him around small children but he is quite shy around my BIG kids and anyone new for that matter. He’s such a sweet, quiet little guy.  I see him in a home with another small dog or two.  He came from a big family in his other home so he really seems to enjoy the company of other dogs.  In the upcoming days we will be working on trusting our humans and learning to be comfortable around others.  I am excited to see how he blossoms as he adjusts to his new, safe environment!!
