Foster Home Feedback:

9/12/14

Max has settled in nicely. His favorite thing is to crawl into your lap and lay there for as long as you stay sitting. But he's far from being lazy. When you get home he will meet you at the door spinning in circles with excitement. He's even started dragging toys around to get me to chase him. Plus he loves getting outside and he knows exactly what it means when you grab the leash (more happy spins).
He's good with the two cats. One of which is fine with him and the other will occasionally hiss if he gets too close. He pretty much ignores them or keeps his distance. It never seems to bother him though. He has been good with other small dogs. Sometimes they have a little too much energy for him and he will find a place to lay down. He seems fine with big dogs, but again, too much energy makes him uncomfortable. Max has been great with every person he has met regardless of age. A really wonderful dog if you have young children.
All in all, Max would be a great fit for a number of different household situations.Probably even yours!

Max has continued to settle in to our house. He gets excited when we get home
from work and hops around when it's time to eat. When he goes on walks, he prances
along and tries to keep up with our big dogs. He is most content just curled up next
to someone, even if that someone is one of our dogs or cats. He loves to be in his
kennel at night. I think he feels like it's his space and just runs right in and
curls up. He is really good with our younger kids and enjoys when our 7 year old
walks him while we are out in the backyard. He is such a loving, low key, senior dog
that would be great in any home.

Max has definitely come out of his shell. He now spins circles when we first get home and get him in the grass because he is so excited. He runs and plays. He has never made a single noise in our house and we just love him!

5/18/14

Although he was pretty scared and timid when first coming to our house, he is settling in quickly and doing well. He is good with our big dogs, good with two younger kids, good with our cats, and seems most content just curled up next to someone on the couch. He has done really well with going to the bathroom outside and also does really well in his kennel. He does not seem as scared anymore and is becoming more social in our household and with our neighbors. This dog would be a great addition to any household.
