I still can’t believe Cash is still with us. He is pretty much the perfect dog! Cash had a little bit of a health incident this week. He broke out in a pretty severe atopic reaction (skin allergies). He was given a steroid shot and also some prednisone and antibiotics for a secondary infection. We are unsure of what caused this allergic reaction, but, we are guessing it must be seasonal as we have gone 2 months with no issues. He is healing up great, and we are looking forward to seeing his beautiful coat shining again. Cash will likely need allergy testing in his future to help his adopters nail down the exact cause of the allergies should it persist after this incident. But, this could have also been an isolated incident and may never happen again. Hard to say at this point.
Cash does excellent with our 14 month old. He walks softly around him, never runs him over, and is very tolerant. Cash follows our son around to make sure he isn’t getting into any trouble J Cash is dog friendly, child friendly, kennel and potty trained. He has made large strides in the stranger danger category, and hardly barks at new people at all anymore.
A perfect home for Cash would include a home with a fence and another dog who likes to play. He will make a great companion for some very lucky family!

We have been fostering for years, and Cash is one of the best foster dogs we have ever had. While he still acts like a playful puppy outside with our dogs, once inside he is a lazy decoration on a dog bed. He is very treat motivated and looks to please. We still have had no potty accidents in the house since day one. He has learned sit, shake, lay down, and stay (check out his video!). We are working on "spot", which is his dog bed on the floor away from the door when someone comes over. He is getting much better with barking, but definitely still barks at new people for a few seconds (which is an improvement from over a minute). He does not really bark to come back in the house anymore either. A perfect home for him would include a fence. He does have the tendency to almost charge out of the door with excitement. We are practicing "sit and stay" while we open the door and him needing us to say "ok" before he leaves the sliding glass door to the yard. Cash enjoys to sleep in! We have to almost drag him off his dog bed on the floor in the morning to go outside! He does wonderful with our one year old and other dogs. Cash would make a wonderful addition to someones home. Please consider adopting him today!

We have had Cash in our home for five days now and he is settling in nicely! Cash came from a pound in IA where he was staying due to a breed ban. Cash gets along great with our two small and two big dogs, as well as our 1 year old! Cash is slightly higher energy and will need some daily exercise in his routine. He LOVES to play with tennis balls in the yard, and to rough house with his foster sister Izzy! He would do best in a home with a 6ft fence and another doggy playmate for him to be social with. He kennels great and knows how to sit. We have only had one potty accident in the house on day one as well. He has no food or toy aggression and has done great with all the people he has met! We are working on not barking when someone is at the door or he hears a noise that spooks him. He is also very vocal when he wants to come back inside the house from the yard or when he sees you home and wants out of the kennel. We are also working on some leash manners. Cash is a beautiful boy that is looking for his forever home. Could it be you?
