Hi everyone! My name is Arya. My foster Mommy said it is pronounced "Are-yuh." She told me that she named me after a very strong woman on The Game of Thrones because she knew that I was going to need to use every ounce of strength I had left in me to stay alive. You see, I was found all alone outside and I was too weak to even move around. I was a little skeleton; cold, dehydrated and starving. The nice kitten doctors gave me a nice warm pillow to lay on, gave me some medicine, and put some water under my skin with a needle (many times) and I finally started to feel better after a couple of days.
Now that I have been pampered for a couple of weeks, I am finding out that life can be super fun when humans love (and spoil) you! I get all of the food and water that I want these days. And they have all sorts of cool little toys for me to play with. There is this neat little thing my human calls a cat tree. I have been working very hard be strong enough to climb it and I have finally got to the top!! I also love to scratch on my post. I have even impressed my new foster Mommy with how loud I can purr for such an itty bitty girl. But my all time favorite thing to do is to perch and watch out the window. I have decided that I like it much better in a house than out there in that big scary world.
Update (9/5):
You would never know how challenging Arya's first few weeks were based on how she is today. She is a bundle of kitten energy who loves to play and climb. She has mastered climbing her scratching post, cat tree and now a baby gate barrier- making the great escape from her kitty room. Her motor is loud and starts the instant she sees you. She has a good appetite and does great using her litter box. Arya may be small but she has a Mighty spirit and will be a fun addition to a family. She will likely enjoy a playmate!
Update (9/23):
Miss Arya is growing up and as she does her coat colors are becoming more apparent. She is a little beauty. She is a bundle of kitten energy and loves to play, run and chase. She has mastered her climbing skills as well. She likes to snuggle in at bedtime and it's quite common for her to knead while she suckles on the sheet or blanket. She has a good appetite and purrs while she eats. All in all she has come leaps and bounds from where she started. Please consider adding this little cutie to your family!
Update (10/22):
Although my given name is Arya my foster mom now calls me Ninja due to my exhibited skill of pouncing (on everything) and my agility with climbing- EVERYWHERE. I love to be on the go and enjoy chasing toys. But I do also like to have some mellow time sitting on laps and taking naps in the sun. I am smart and have learned to wait for the resident cat to fall asleep before joining her on her heated pillow. I also think it's fun to play with water in the sink. My foster mom says I am very entertaining and that I would be a fun addition for a family!
Update 11/30
Arya the ninja here. I continue to grow up and master my skills. You can see my latest tuck and roll move in my new video. I enjoy being where my people are (I tend to follow them around) but I also enjoy being in my own space and taking naps on my cat tree. I also like hanging out it the bathroom sink. I am a good eater and chirp in anticipation when new food is being put in my bowl. I still tend to be a bit bitey in play and so little fingers and toes may not be the best fit for me. I do however think I would love to have another four legged playmate to tumble around with. Please consider adding me to your family. I do provide a lot of laughter.
*Arya has been using the litter box with no issues. She is done with all of her vetting: a wellness exam, FIV/FeLV testing, spay, vaccinations, and microchip (lifetime enrollment.)*
