Hi, I'm Patches... thanks for checking out my profile. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. First and foremost, I'm a beautiful sweet girl who loves attention! (My foster momma says sometimes too much, but I disagree-- there's no such thing as too much attention. I mean, what feline DOESN'T follow their human into the bathroom? And it's not like I get in the shower with her. Sheesh!) I love being pet, sitting on your lap, and especially cuddling up next to you in bed (sometimes I like to lay on your chest too but my foster momma says I'm too heavy for that). I don't mind other kitties as long as they respect my space, but I do feel threatened & intimidated by those with strong personalities (especially dominant females). I'd do okay in a home with other animals as long as they don't growl, hiss at, or chase after me. And although I've spent my years with other furbabies, I do think I'd be okay (and likely rather enjoy) being the only four-legged baby in the home (all that attention just for me!). When I'm feeling scared, I'm known to run & hide under my foster momma's bed. I prefer a calm, quieter home and do startle easy so I probably wouldn't do the best in a home with loud noises and lots of activity. It might take me a few days to adjust to a new home so please be patient if I initially hide often. Also, please don't let my age deter you. Even though I'm older and on the heavy side (which I'm working on with the help of a controlled diet... I've lost 2 pounds in just over 3 weeks already!), I'm still young at heart. I have fun playing with kitty toys and chasing the laser pointer around. I also have no problem jumping up onto things. (Thank goodness! Imagine all the snuggles you'd miss out on if I couldn't jump into your bed or up on the couch.) If you don't act fast, you're likely to miss out on the opportunity to gain my unwavering love & devotion, not to mention my endless snuggles. So what are you waiting for?!
