Atari was a feral young kitten who was rescued off of the streets with her siblings- Ashes, Kilo, Terra and Roan. They were only 2 months old at the time.   A few weeks later Terra, Kilo and Roan became very ill with a flu type bug that they must have picked up when living on the streets. Because they were so young and malnourished, their bodies were vulnerable to this nasty bug and it killed Atari’s only sister- Terra. Atari never became ill but she was left with her 3 rambunctious brothers to keep in line so she can hold her own during their crazy kitten moments.

Atari has been a cautious, independent girl from the start. She likes to watch the action from afar and assess the situation before she joins in. She reminds us of a sophisticated young lady with her sleek black coat and the air of a Queen. She has been weary and cautious of humans but she is slowly learning to trust them. Like her brother Ashes, she will need a quiet home with a patient family to continue the socializing that her fosters have started. She has never shown any aggression towards people or other cats/dogs. When she is scared she hides and if cornered she freezes.

When precious Atari feels spunky she loves to play with any kitten toy she can find including plastic jingle balls, fuzzy mice, crinkle tunnels, cardboard boxes, brown paper bags etc. She sharpens her beautiful nails on a cardboard scratcher and enjoys climbing and sleeping on cat trees.

FUN FACT: Almost all black cats have yellow or “golden” eyes because of their high levels of melanin pigment.

*Atari is using the litterbox with no marking or accidents. She has received a wellness exam, is FIV/Feluk negative, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped (which includes a lifetime enrollment.)*
