Update:

If you are looking for a dog who is good with cats, look no further!  We just uploaded pictures of Nyla laying in a windowsill, her foster kitten siblings snuggling away with her :)  Pretty adorable!

Update:

Nyla  is a super sweet girl.  She has adjusted very quickly into her foster home and has become a favorite with everyone who meets her.  She is a well-adjusted young dog who would fit in with any family.

People:  She does great with strangers, young and old.  She loves greeting new people on her walks and she cuddles with her foster family when at home.  She has also been sleeping in bed with a 13 year old boy in her foster home. She just curls up at the end of the bed and sleeps all night with no issues.

Animals:   Nyla  has been doing wonderful with other dogs.  There are 2 large resident dogs in her foster home and she enjoys playing with the 1 year old dog for sometimes hours at a time.  She also does great with the cats and kittens in the foster home.  She never chases the kittens, instead she lets them play with her and even lets them grab her face and she has never reacted.  On walks she does not have any barking reactions to anyone or anything.  If another dog is barking at her she just wags her tail and may pull a little to get closer but that’s the only reaction.

Kenneling: This girl kennels like a pro.  If you open the door and tell her to "kennel" she walks in with no issues.  When she is in the kennel she does not bark, whine or do any kind of destructive biting.  Her foster family has been able to leave her out in the house during the daytime hours when the family is gone and she has not done anything to the house or had any accidents.

Training:  Nyla  is pretty much fully trained.  She will sit, lie down, kennel & drop the ball to you while playing fetch.  She is fully potty trained and has never had an accident.  She does whine a little when on a car ride but quits when a window is opened for her.  She is currently being worked with for walking on the leash without any pulling and she is a quick learner and improving with each walk.
