Volunteer Opportunities - Foster Homes & Board of Directors
If you are interested in fostering puppies and/or adult dogs, please check out Foster Information. Board positions are 3-year terms with the Executive Director, Vice President and Secretary positions open. Here is a summary of the 3 open positions:
Executive Director: Our organization manager! Think of this position as the Michael Scott of Dunder Mifflin, the Sam Malone of Cheers, or the Liz Lemon of 30 Rock. This position leads Board meetings and is the face of the organization. Public outreach is important as well as mingling with DITR donors. 5-10 hours per week time commitment.
Secretary: Our communications expert! If you enjoy notetaking, organization and computer communication, this role is for you! This role responds to or forwards emails to appropriate contacts from various @diamondpetrescue.org aliases, composes Board meeting notes, act as primary contact regarding insurance and storage unit needs for the organization, management of volunteer forms, and management of passwords for various accounts. 3-6 hours per week time commitment.
If you are interested in a position, but are slightly overwhelmed by the duties, have no fear. The Board positions are part of a TEAM, and we all have special qualities and skill sets that help each other out!
